In Too Small, Craig Biehl tackles the claims of atheism with a blend of humour and penetrating insight, exposing the overconfidence of those who claim to disprove God. Biehl scrutinises their arguments, demonstrating that the finite human mind cannot fathom the infinite God. Through respectful yet incisive critique, he reveals the inconsistencies and blind faith inherent in atheistic assertions. This compelling book not only defends the Christian faith but also challenges readers to embrace intellectual humility and the grandeur of divine revelation.

Selected Endorsements:

  • “This is a marvelous book. I have often thought, there must be a God: how else do you explain Bach’s Passacaglia or Brahms’ Requiem? Dr. Biehl’s refutations of atheism are air-tight. Despite the rumors, atheism is alive and well, especially in the West. This book hits atheism head on but with a carefully laid-out counter argument. Dr. Biehl exposes hidden assumptions and gift-wrapped evidence in order to highlight a biblical alternative. Not only, as the title declares, is atheism too small, but it is actually counterproductive. This book deserves a wide reading.”
    • Dr. William Edgar | Professor Emeritus of Apologetics, Westminster Theological Seminary, Pennsylvania, USA.
  • “Having been involved in debating and discussing with atheists and agnostics for many years, there is one flaw in their argument which is so obvious that it is usually ignored. Not by Craig Biehl, who in this rather brilliant book points out why the grand presumption of atheism is false. The presumption that human beings have the ability to sit in judgement upon God is the great falsehood which Biehl exposes. It’s not the lack of evidence that is the problem—it’s a person’s inability to evaluate that evidence. Biehl then goes on to deal with the main arguments against (‘disproofs’) the existence of God—including philosophical, moral, and ‘biblical’ objections. This is a short, serious, and substantial book—which I wish I had had when I first took on the new fundamentalist atheists!”
    • David Robertson | Author, The Dawkin Letters
  • “Craig Biehl masterfully turns the table on atheists by attacking the very foundation of their belief system. Biehl doesn’t get sidetracked by answering all the objections of atheists. Neither does he seek to prove God’s existence based on accepting the presuppositions of atheists. Instead, Biehl pulls the rug from underneath atheists by exposing that they are in no position to claim that they know what they think they know.”

From the 1949 Bible Truth Depot Edition:

"This book, handling a doctrine very little understood and very little heard about in this day of humanism, is most welcome; and has become a real help to many. We have never published a more needed and useful book for the Lord's people than this one.

Attentive readers are overcome by the sublimeness of this subject, and the well-formed plan in which the author sets it forth. And rightly so, for the author unfolds and upholds the proper magnification of God's supremacy which is the indispensable stronghold of a believer's faith. Any book that gives God His proper place is bound to greatly profit the believing reader."

Just a little over a century after its original publication, Arthur W. Pink's The Sovereignty of God continues to be one of the most helpful works on the matters of God's sovereignty and providence. Wherein, in clear and accessible language, Pink guides the Christian through how God is sovereign over all the events that take place, and how he is working out all things for His glory and for those who love him. This edition, being entirely unabridged, is further supplemented by two additional essays written by Paul Helm and Brett Lee-Price which talk about the book's historical significance and theology.

Selected Endorsements:

  • “I highly commend this book. A. W. Pink’s The Sovereignty of God was the first book I read as a Christian. It assembles the Bible’s teaching about God’s control over all events. To define God’s sovereignty is to go a long way in defining God Himself. Such clear teaching is rare today. The additional chapters by Helm and Lee-Price enhance the value of this edition.”

This commentary on The Letter of Jude engages the Greek text and is designed for pastors, theological students, and lay readers. Jude, a brother of Jesus, warns members of the early Jesus movement against intruders in their midst and exhorts those believers not to deviate from the fundamental tenets of “the faith” in behavior and belief.

It also provides a unique analysis that links Jude with 1 Corinthians in terms of their authors’ literary style, Jewish backgrounds, and closely correlated descriptions of the errorists described in both letters.

The Letter of Jude is highly relevant to Christians in the twenty-first century. Even many of those now calling themselves evangelical have abandoned any pretence to adhering to biblical doctrines. This commentary seeks to emphasise Jude’ message: contend for biblical truth, and live so that the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is alive, true, and liberating.

Selected Endorsements:

  • “Biblical exegesis and theology are not disciplines solely for academic scholars. In this commentary on Jude, Guy Manuell shows how someone active in church life and a businessman, can apply himself to commenting on the Greek text of a New Testament book. This he does with competence and freshness, and is able to apply it in a manner often missing in commentaries. He is able to show how relevant the book of Jude is for the contemporary church. Wide reading has enriched his study, and now his commentary is going to be a stimulus to others as they approach Jude."
    • Dr. Allan M. Harman | Research Professor of Old Testament, Presbyterian Theological College, Melbourne, Australia.
  • “This deeply researched and briskly argued study does not limit itself to describing Jude's meaning for its first-century readers. It is equally concerned with calling attention to "a cancer that is ravaging the body of Christ" today. Making creative comparison between ills addressed in Jude and problems evident in Paul's Corinth, Guy Manuell furnishes an exposition of Jude that enlightens, provokes, encourages, challenges, and most of all instructs. It interprets a pastoral letter with pastoral insight yet scholarly grasp of Jude's language, historical setting, and contemporary interpretation. I recommend it highly for those who teach and preach in the church, as well as for any others who are willing to see the desperate decadence of our times (including, often, in churches) and the glory of God's call to repentance and godly living through the true faith in the Lord Jesus Christ whom Jude exalts, serves, and pungently proclaims."
    • Dr. Robert W. Yarbrough | Professor of New Testament, Covenant Theological Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, USA
  • “Guy Manuell takes us on a deep but guided tour of the all too often neglected Letter of Jude. With an eye constantly on Jude's historical setting, and a desire to spell out the social and cultural implications of the letter today, Manuell makes judicious use of scholarship in opening up God's word. While clearly based on his reading of the Greek text, he presents his conclusions in a way that can be easily followed by non-specialists. Not interested in merely rehashing previous views, this commentary presents serious readers with a thought-provoking interaction with Jude."

He deals judiciously with the several complicated issues regarding Jude, and places it well in its NT and OT context. He takes the view that the bad influence of the ‘intruders’ is behaviour, not theology. There is no unnecessary material: a great virtue in a commentary! He is helpfully attentive to the distinctive features of Jude’s literary style. It is a useful resource for personal Bible study, for Bible study leaders, and for preachers.

What is the gospel all about? This is a question that many individuals, even Christians, often ask and the answer is simple: the gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ and the way of salvation that is offered through Him. Yet in this simple answer lies profound truths as the gospel, far from being something that someone only needs to hear once, continues to be the central element in the life of the Christian. In these pages, McKinlay takes the reader on a journey through the meaning of the gospel so that believers can better understand what the gospel fully entails.

Selected Endorsements:

  • “Sound doctrine is always profound because it reflects the majesty of God. Yet it is simple only when explained by a gifted writer. Both qualities are to be desired in a book which aims to feed the saint and convict the sinner. Both are found in this book which I am happy to commend to all who want sound doctrine affectionately presented."
    • Maurice Roberts | Retired Minister in the Free Church of Scotland Continuing; Former Editor of the Banner of Truth magazine (1988-2003).
  • “Neil McKinlay has given us a wonderfully clear summary of the gospel and of the key biblical doctrines which support it. Readers will benefit from his strong focus on the gospel as the great work of God in history, His completely trustworthy and effective answer to the utterly hopeless and helpless situation of sinful humanity. The book also very helpfully points out what the gospel is not, in simple terms which are easy to understand - a critical task in every age. "
    • Dr. Andrew Bain | Vice-Principal, Queensland Theological College, Brisbane, Australia.
  • "Neil McKinlay, in his new work, The Gospel: Simple Yet Profound, hits it out of the ballpark, as we Americans say. He lays out the foundational truths of the gospel and its implications in a thorough, yet easy to follow way. A great primer for a study of the Scriptural doctrines of grace."
    • John Owen Butler | Pastor, Lebanon Presbyterian Church, South Carolina, USA.
  • "Neil McKinlay, pastor, army chaplain, and writer is above all an evangelist. In this book, he draws on his ministry experience to combine, in a wonderfully conversational style, a Gospel presentation, with its underpinning in sovereign grace alone, and a systematic sweep of the flow of Biblical theology. Scripture illuminating Scripture is on every page. This is a book to give new believers with the confidence that their gospel foundations will be reinforced, the focus of their faith will be properly confirmed, and their wonder at the scope of redemption, in both time and eternity, deepened. Oh, and those long in the faith will benefit too."
