Tulip Publishing, an Australian Christian publisher, is proud to announce the launch of its academic monograph series, Studies in Reformed Thought, under the helm of Dr. Rowland S. Ward, Church History and Research Lecturer at the Presbyterian Theological College, Victoria.
“The Studies in Reformed Thought Monograph Series has the laudable aim of promoting Australian contributions to Reformed scholarship and making them available at a reasonable price point for students, pastors and scholars worldwide. The intent is not to further a mere antiquarian interest but to uncover the past in a way which is faithful to the sources and speaks with relevance for the present day,” said Ward.
Being released in the 400th anniversary of his birth, the first of these volumes, Enamoured with Piety by Dr. Yarran Johnston, offers an insight into the life and ministry of the Puritan, Thomas Watson. Johnston traces the pervading theme of godliness in Watson’s thoughts and writings, making the case that Watson represents English Puritanism in its mature phase, specifically in its understanding of godliness as a proper regard for God.
ENAMOURED WITH PIETY: Godliness as the pervading theme in the thought and ministry of Thomas Watson by Dr. Yarran Johnston will be released in October 2020.
